Before You Speak

I think this is especially relevant with SELF-TALK.
I love the point about “Kindness”. Do you speak kindly to yourself?

Love this picture Lina. Thanks for the reminder about kindness. Being back to work has been an eyeopener after living in the tranquility and honesty of stay-at-home-motherhood. I was slowly drawn into a politically charged toxic work environment but this little post has reminded me of what is important, to step back and review… work is work after all… not an identity because being a mum makes you a better person and above it all.
It’s a huge transition going back to work after having your first child.
Don’t under-estimate the intensity of what you’re going through, and so yes,
be kind to yourself.
I’m very grateful to experience and share motherhood with you, Maria.

We’ve all said things we later regret – if only we’d used the ‘think’ acronym!
I like you comment Lina about speaking kindly to ourselves. Our internal thoughts are very powerful – they create us – so it makes sense to first be kind to ourselves. Make this a habit and being kind to other people will automatically follow.
Hi Jan. It’s something I really need to work on, speaking kindly to myself. Getting (a little bit) better, day by day.
That would be a perfect key ring, book mark, magnet type thing! Def want to remember these points:)
Beautiful suggestion, Jordy!
Very creative! xx
Yes, especially with Self-Talk. I agree with you totally.
Thank you for this! It’s a powerful reminder.
My pleasure, Pia. I have been applying this THINK acronym a lot, since posting it here. I’m glad you got something out of it
